2007 Honda Accord Hybrid

Hello Everybody, once again I'm back from a hiatus. Today I'm gonna blog about a loner car since my car is in the shop for the weekend. I took it in a little too late & they wouldn't have had time to fix it that day. So they loaned me Honda Accord Hybrid. I figured, "Well, okay." So I have been driving it some. It's a much more different creature, a lot more conservative. It's very comfortable compared to my Fit. It does have the IMA found in other Honda hybrids. (Even though Citroen has started the start stop system, Honda follows through.) I thought it would've been nicer if it was a 4 cylinder, but it has a V6 so it's more thirstier. Well as for the V6 you do get more power though. On the inside, it has leather interior, even though I prefer cloth. It has HD radio, which is pretty good since like 90% + of the Atlanta radio stations suck. I never thought in my life that Motorhead would be played on radio.

Driving however is actually nice. It's much quieter, since I got used to my DC Sports exhaust on my car. It includes the electric gauge on how you can drive more conservatively. it goes blue when you use the battery & green when you charge it. (Blue when you're accelerating & green when you decelerate and/or brake. Yet, to be honest, it's kinda pointless on a V6. I can drive as hard as I want on Fit & still get 30+. 40 If I kept the cruise control at 55. ( Since I have some more mods, I think I got better, I will do research on that soon.)

So the question is, would I trade my Fit for it?

Well if I started a family & needed a bigger car, maybe. But not for a V6. It's not really bad at all. Still I would look at other options. Yet a hybrid on a V6 daily driven car, it's jsut counteractive in my opinion.

My opinion on the CR-Z

Okay first of all, I've heard a lot of bashing against the CR-Z. I've never driven it or anything. But it has interested me though. I've heard about people getting 50 m.p.g. It's tuneable at least. Sure a lot of people would like to drop a K in it. But thanks to these other tuners, especially Bisimoto, I'll pass. Since the car is basically based on the Fit, I guess this car shows there is hope for mine as well as GE owners. (Insights, not so much. I don't even know why they built those, especially with a Fit Hybrid coming??? Something I guess is gonna give.) Well I think the future is evolving a little bit late I think, but at least it is. Sure a Camaro or Mustang would be nice to have. Yet, the thing is when gas goes up to $4 a gallon & insurance is nuts, I think the more sensible choice would be the CR-Z. I haven't test driven one yet. If I ever do, I'll let you now.

Here's a link to Bisi's CR-Z

& here's a video for the K-20

& that's all for now. Well not quite.

Fuck you Consumer Reports, you even recommended a PT Cruiser as a best buy, >_< I'll never listen to you again.

Why did I go with the Honda Fit?

Okay to answer that question. Before I had the Fit, I had an '03 Pt Cruiser GT. Well I will say it was powerful, but it wasn't what I really wanted at the time due to some circumstances, (couldn't drive a stick shift.) Well at the time I wanted a Mini Cooper S, & maybe I should have went with it (or a Pontiac Vibe.) For three years, it wasn't really all that bad. I put 2 JL 12Wos in it. Well after the 3rd year, things went horrible. I had to take it to the shop every month for a year, even for the mistakes I made by trying to fix it myself. So I decided "That's just it!! I'm trading you." Another reason was the price of gas getting higher & higher, to where I could even barely make it. I had to run premium on it, too. So basically it was just pointless. So I decided to go back to the subcompacts I was driving before. First was the Toyota Yaris. It wasn't bad, but it felt weird. It just felt like you was so isolated in such a small space, which kinda crept me out. I did like all the storage & cupholders. Next was the Kia Rio. To be honest, it was actually alright to me, but it lacked cruise control because I'm on the highway most of the time. Then there was the Versa, in which it wasn't bad too, but I didn't like the Intelligent Key. I have rented a Maxima once with that key. One time I couldn't turn the ignition key for 15 minutes. So that kinda scratched it off. Next was the Fit & my friend was telling me to get that instead. I drove the automatic on it & the manual. I chose the manual. But there was another car I should have test drove & that was the Suzuki SX4. I could've used the 4wd to get up the hill that I lived on. But still I'm happy with what I got. It took me a couple of years to pay it off, & now I'm still in the process of tuning. will be done very soon. =)

Me Vs. Minis Vs. Porsche

A couple of days ago, I decided to go to the Mini Vs. Porsche Challenge at Road Atlanta. Well when I got there, I saw some Coopers & A Fit (yay I wasn't the only Honda around,) lined up a the gate. Well I heard we was gonna go out at the track. I thought to myself "Yes!!!, time to test the new suspension out." Since I got it put on last week by Lethal Injection. So, since I was on vacation too I had time to kill over there. I did make some videos though, but I didn't carry my other cam with me to where I can film myself out in the track. But the whole thing was just a publicity stunt, yet I had fun. I almost bought a Mini Cooper once, so you know who I was rooting for. Yet I always kick myself for that PT Cruiser I had :(. But here are some vids I took:

P.S. Sorry about them not being in order

First Post - Metal is Dying

Well folks, I hate to start this blog out on a bad note, but it actually has too. Well this year we had Peter Steele passing away, & just this past week Ronnie James Dio. I never gotten to seen those two, basically because I'm having to work at night. But when I heard about Paul Gray dying< i just thought, this isn't good at all. I mean I can try to understand the rock & roll lifestyle, but not completely. I saw Slipknot just a week before my 27th birthday, now I'm 33. I remember moshing, crowdsurfing, just about everything except sex. Had 5 Red Bulls that night, so yes I was pretty wound up. But a few things I'm proud of Paul for is being part of a kick ass show & widening Fred Durst's anal rectum some when he tried to attack. When I did pick up the first slipknot CD, I didn't know what I was in for, I wasn't really into all that at the time, but it changed it. But we will miss the pig. Godspeed. Tath goes For Steele & Dio too. Here's some vids:
